TDA’s physical properties - including its light weight, free draining characteristics and insulation value - make it well suited to be used as backfill for storm water and other utility conveyances.  The efficiency of using TDA as pipeline backfill has been demonstrated in-part through work done by the Center for Integrated Waste Management in the on-site wastewater area.
